River Bend Golf Course
The River Bend Resort & Golf Club boasts an 18-hole championship golf course nestled along the beautiful banks of the Rio Grande River. Filled with 25-year-old oak trees, immaculate manicuring, quick greens and masterful design, River Bend is without question one of the most unique golf courses in the Rio Grande Valley.

Best of all - we're open to the public! River Bend was founded in 1983. Our name is derived from the huge bend in the Rio Grande River that borders the resort and provides the property with a lush tropical setting. Plants and birds not seen elsewhere in the U.S. are common throughout River Bend Resort & Golf Club.

About Us
Report
Rancho Viejo developer Ted Trap originally owned River Bend in order to link Rancho to a raw water source from the Rio Grande River. River Bend development started in 1983 by Lou Falley, George Ketzenberg, and John Berryman. Originally established as a 9 hole course River Bend was expanded to a 18 hole Championship course in 1985.
Local Rules
Report
Players must find where their ball went out of bounds and create an imaginary perpendicular to the fairway, no closer to the hole. From there, you can now drop anywhere within 2 club-lengths behind the line incurring a 2-stroke penalty. This means if it were your Tee Shot you would be hitting your 4th shot.*.
