This company is garbage. Completely horrible experience. Took double their “estimate” time to install, installed wrong product, waited weeks for the correct product and many were defective. Refused to fix the defective product. I disputed the charge with Amex. Now they’re suing me!! Really, this company would rather sue you instead of fixing/replacing their damaged product or helping to make it right in any way. Shelby is the most disrespectful, condescending person I’ve ever interacted with. Look forward to my day in court with this company. STAY AWAY!

I have had Custom Shade and Shutter do 3 houses for me at this point. My favorite being the most recent. It’s an old Nola style house with 8 French doors. It’s not an easy job, as each door is slightly different, but from design to install, they tackled every oddity of this old house. The shades came out gorgeous! Highly recommend!!

This was such an amazing experience from start to finish. When we started the process, I was not even sure shades were something I wanted or needed, but I am so glad I took the leap. They were so great about getting to know the wants and needs of our family before recommending a specific style and color suited perfectly for each room. Measurements and installation were done precisely and promptly. We needed the project done by a certain date and they made sure we didn’t have to fret last minute by completing it well in advance. We ordered a set of shades for our outdoor patio and balcony. They are awesome. Very well built and fantastic installation. It is amazing the difference they make in the temperature and the amount of sunlight they cut. It allows us to extend our time to enjoy our outdoor living space. The process from ordering to installation was great. If there were any cons it would simply be the length of time from order to installation. I assume a lot to do with the downtime from covid. I would highly recommend this company for your shade needs.

This place is awful. Not only do they lie about their lead times, they’re incredibly condescending and rude. I placed an order for shades for my new home and was told 4 weeks from signing to install. I’m on week 6 and being told nothing can be done until next week, nearly double the amount of time I was told when choosing to go with this company. They’re saying “the contract says lead time is an estimate” well an estimate should at least be realistic, not double the actual time it takes. Their customer service does nothing to help other than throw that line on their

We had Custom Shade and Shutter install motorized shades on every window in our house and highly recommend them. The entire experience was great start to finish. The shades and wood cornice boxes are gorgeous and it’s SO fun to just push a button to open and close them!!

Our experience with Shelby and April, with Custom Shade and Shutter, was outstanding!! After one phone call, we had placed our order for a custom Weatherwell Aluminum Louvered Shutter. During that phone call, we received all the information we needed to properly take measurements and pick out the style and function of the louvers that would best fit our needs. Custom Shade and Shutter did an excellent job installing our aluminum shutters. Carl was the lead installer and was excellent to work with. The crew of four were all very professional and courteous. Also, Amie (sales) and Teresa (head office) were great to work with. We are very happy with how the shutters turned out, they are really good looking with the powder coat painting and are extremely sturdy. Outdoor shutters give me the flexibility I needed in that I was able to keep my view, they blocks out the sun/rain and they make my patio feel more like an extension of my home. On September 10, 2017, my house in Sugarloaf Key (Florida Keys) suffered the wrath of the eye of hurricane Irma. Winds were clocked over 170 MPH. The back corner of my home was torn off by a tornado. The shutters that Custom Shade and Shutter made for me are untouched. I am amazed that they did so well. What a great product They protected my AC, 2 100gallon propane tanks and lower enclosure openings. I wish I had one for my generator...

Custom Shade and Shutter gets five stars! They were so nice to work with and made everything so easy. I knew I wanted plantain shutters in my new condo, but had no idea how to wade through all the custom options. Shelby helped talk me through colors and design and just really made me feel comfortable with my selection.
