IOF's manatee biofacts and information about manatees are on display at Orange County's North Library in Apopka on State Rt. Our purpose is to bring people together in a shared vision to preserve and protect Florida's wildlife, habitat, and ecosystems. Where do baby bears come from? Did you know that bears have a very cool reproductive strategy called Embryonic Diapause? Bears mate in spring and summer. The embryos develop into blastulas which then stop growth until winter. When winter rolls in, the blastulas will implant in the uterus and develop into cubs.
