When we were both younger, we were timid around animals but when our mother became ill with heart disease, we started to grow and bond with dogs in the neighborhood. As we grew more comfortable being around the animals. Our mother Ann was a co-owner of a local hair salon business and the Fuchs family was her client for many years.

One of the Fuch's told Mom that there was a volunteer opportunity at Shively Animal Clinic. Jessica jumped at the chance as she had a passion for animals and knew it would help her learn more about medical care for her furry friends.
