What types of events can I host at The Court Above Main?
We host weddings, corporate events, holiday parties, baby/bridal showers, fundraisers, formals, and social gatherings. Our historic ballroom accommodates both seated dinners and non-seated events.
Can I choose my own caterer for the event?
Clients select from our preferred caterer list featuring diverse culinary options. Outside caterers require prior approval from our venue manager to ensure service quality standards.
What is included in the venue rental?
Rental includes tables, chiavari chairs, linens, dinnerware, silverware, event staff, bartenders, private suite, and in-house sound system. Full setup and cleanup services are provided.
What is the guest capacity for events?
The ballroom seats 180 guests for ceremonies or plated dinners, 150 for buffets, or accommodates up to 250 non-seated guests for cocktail-style events.
Is the venue accessible for guests with mobility needs?
Yes, our facility includes wheelchair-accessible elevators and entrances. We ensure all guests can comfortably access our 3rd-floor event space.
How far in advance should I book my event?
Weekday events book 7-12 months in advance, weekends 4-6 months. Friday/Saturday bookings more than 6 months ahead require additional deposit.

If youre thinking about having your event here, DO IT! Kelli and the staff were so accommodating and made our wedding more than we ever could have hoped. She went above and BEYOND, and so did everyone at the Wedding Tree and The Court Above Main. For the price, the amenities are amazing, as is the location! Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Everything was truly amazing! Kelli went above and beyond to make the night special! She is VERY organized and has so many helpful tools. I was stressed thinking of all the things I would have to remember, but then she had a bunch of ways to help! The wedding reception was magical! I couldnt have asked for a better team run by Kelli! There's plenty of places to host a beautiful wedding in the driftless region, but this will always be my number one recommendation. We had our wedding at The Court Above Main in August, 2021 and I knew going into my wedding day I didn't want to have to worry about making sure my vision was going to look how it did in my head. By having my wedding with The Court Above Main, every detail (down to how the groomsmen held their hands during the ceremony) was taken care of. My husband and I got to actually enjoy our day and take in all the months of planning. I didn't have to lift a finger at the end

We held our wedding rehearsal and our wedding at The Court Above Main and our experience was absolutely perfect. We had been planning our wedding with a different venue when COVID happened. This venue was not willing to change the date that we had scheduled even though it was in June 2020. We decided to look elsewhere. We knew that we had to see if The Court Above Main would be able to take us in.

We got married here a couple weeks ago and could not have been more impressed! For starters, the venue is absolutely beautiful! Staff was excellent from the second we booked last year. They really took a lot of the wedding planning stress away. Very fun, friendly and hard-working crew. Kelli you rocked it. Justin you were on point behind the bar all night. I was a wedding DJ in the La Crosse area for 3 years. I have seen a lot of venues, but the Court Above Main is by far the best. The venue itself is beautiful, and is in a great location near many hotels, bars, and restaurants in downtown La Crosse. Kelli, the event coordinator is extremely organized, friendly, and accommodating. The staff works extremely hard to make sure that everything is set up and put away in a timely manner. I could literally write a small novel on how impressed I was with the Wedding Tree/the Court. But as a type A perfectionist, I was nervous about the idea of a wedding. They made getting married truly about my husband and I having the perfect day. They went above and beyond making us feel so special. The entire team was spectacular, but Kelli, Haleigh, and Holly will hold a special place in my heart for making my day so unforgettable.
