About
Report
More than 40 exhibiting artists working in a variety of mediums make up the Bridgton Art Guild which owns and operates Gallery 302. We are an artist's collective in the truest sense of the term. Together, we manage the day-to-day functions of the year-round Gallery.

On a spring day in 2003, Eve Abreu and George Bradt were walking their dogs when George asked what Eve liked about living in Bridgton, and what she missed about life in Newburyport, MA.Eve said an important thing she missed was an art gallery. To that, George remarked: "Well, why can't we just start an art gallery?" Eve though that was an outrageous, yet intriguing idea.

I have been drawing since I was six years old when my father brought home a plain white pad of paper from work, and have not stopped. The natural world has always been in focus, from mentally making images from clouds, closing my eyes while listening to birdsong, or smelling the peonies in my grandfather's garden.

I come from a family of creators - musicians, sculptors, jewelers, painters - and took up a camera at age 10. My love of making images compelled me to study fine art and photography in college. And this led to a career in advertising, graphic design and digital communications. All my past creative endeavors have informed my paintings.

I have always been curious, passionate and a creative person, a true born "LEO, " if you follow your stars. Luckily, a car accident in 2013, resulting in 24/7 migraines pivoting me from my corporate to curious. Total creative focus was my savior from migraines. I tried stained glass in 2014 then began pottery classes in 2016, moved full time to Moose Pond in 2017, built my pottery studio in 2018 and joined Gallery 302.
