Jon and Susan Foss founded Foss Swim School in 1993 to teach swimming as child enrichment - a foundation for a lifetime of fun, safety, and physical, social, and mental benefits. Laughter is at the heart of our unique curriculum, and graduation reflects confidence and mastery. We offer everything you expect of a modern swim school: thoroughly-trained teachers, warm water, private changing areas, and pools purpose-built for learning.
FOSS teachers personalize the learning for each student based on the student's level of comfort, learning style, and personality. We teach in quarters and place students in small classes (3 or 4 students to 1 Teacher) of similar age and ability. Teachers stay with classes for the full quarter as we work towards graduation - not just passing levels.

Jon and Susan Foss started Foss Swim School in 1993 with a vision to make kids safer and help them develop a love of swimming and water. Over a quarter century, we have learned how to structure our program to deliver the best results for our students. Our school approach focuses on developing skills through progressions based on a personalized Swim Path for each student.

Our unique curriculum helps each student find their own unique path to developing skills for a lifetime of confidence. Swim Path takes into account each student's age, previous water experiences, skills already developed, and the best pace for learning. Students progress when they have mastered each key skill.
