Shiatsu, or Japanese Acupressure, is a modality practiced either on a floor mat, table or massage chair, typically over a layer of clothing.
Working with the meridian lines of the Traditional Chinese Medicine system, points are activated or sedated- depending on the energy state at any given point along the meridian being worked- with palm, finger, thumb or foot pressure, offering the recipient a rebalancing within the organ system or muscle group.Shiatsu can bring a general flow of enhanced well-being and offer treatment specific to present symptoms.
