Our practice started with Dr. Julio Jove, M.D. in 1968. Dr. Julio Jove was the first of now three generations of orthopaedic surgeons. His son Dr. Maurice Jove joined the practice immediately after his residency at Emory University and expanded the already successful practice. In the late 1990s, Dr. Jeff Traub joined the practice and has been an integral part of the success and expansion of the practice.

Dr. Maurice Jove, M.D. has been practicing Orthopaedic Surgery for over 30 years. He specializes in General Orthopaedic Surgery, but specializes in Hip, Knee and Shoulder Replacement as well as ACL, Rotator Cuff and Labral Surgery. Dr. Jove trained at Grady Memorial Hospital and was the Cheif Resident.

Jeff Traub, M.D

Dr. Jeff Traub has been in practice for over 19 years. Dr. Traub went to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and went to medical school at New York University School of Medicine. He trained in orthopedic surgery in Albany, New York. He did his fellowship in Sports Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio and worked with the Cincinnati Bengals and University of Cincinnati Bearcats.

Dr. Vanderhoof has been with the practice for over 20 years and specializes in non-operative treatment of the spine. Dr. V also performs EMG exams for the practice. Dr. Vanderhoof is a great resource for chronic back pain. He helps you decide how bad your problem may be and if you would benefit from an injection or being directed to a spine surgeon.
