Donald P. Schwab, Jr. M.D. F.A.C.S., received his undergraduate degree at Nicholls State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1992. He then went on to medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans graduated in 1996. He completed two years residency at LSU followed by residency at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina.

Dr. Schwab has been performing weight loss surgery for twelve years. He understands many patients are not ready for or do not want to undergo surgery for weight loss. His quest for a medically supervised, drug free, successful, non surgical weight loss program has been long in the making. He realizes that weight loss is a journey with no end.
