Pentwater Yacht Club was founded on common interests and a desire to share camaraderie during a Michigan summer. Since 1935, PYC has provided a relaxed environment for fun on the water, in our clubhouse, and on our deck. Our location below Pentwater's Village Green affords great westerly views of Pentwater Lake, and down the Channel to Lake Michigan.
Each year, we promote and improve sailing, boating and associated sports; offer excellent dining and social activities, provide an atmosphere of good fellowship, and sponsor activities for the youth of the community. 2021 was our final season in a century-old building. As PYC moves onto our next chapter, we all agree on one thing - we love who we are: our PYC culture, our history, and the unique experience of enjoying Pentwater.

The old warehouse, affectionately known as The Dock for many years, became the home of Pentwater Yacht Club in 1935. The founders of Pentwater Yacht Club were leaders of the community. As hardworking professionals, they established the Club to provide a place to socialize, enjoy various water sports, and create a sense of community.
Reservations
Report
Reminder: Non-member and reciprocal guests are allowed to visit PYC a maximum of four times per season. If bringing non-member or reciprocal guests, include their name(s) in the message section on the online reservation system. When arriving, sign in all guests at the hostess stand. If needed, you can still call 231-869-8921 to make reservations.
Water activities
Report
Sailors will be scored for your best two finishes racing Offshore, Ensign, and Sunfish through the regular season this year for a total of six races! You must race a minimum of twice with each Fleet to qualify. If you'd like to participate please send your race results and what fleet you raced in to Mike Bass or Dave Bluhm throughout the year.
Sailing Academy

The Sailing Academy offers instructional courses, informational seminars, and on-the-water opportunities for all skill levels, beginner to advanced. We look forward to seeing you on the water! Join Tuesday Open Sailing at 4 p.m. - the chance for sailors to get more on-the-water time developing their skills on different kinds of boats.
