Fred had formerly served Viacom's Showtime division in New York City for nearly 20 years. He later capitalized on an opportunity to work from his home in CT as an executive for an online cable industry information service. The company eventually fell victim to the familiar "dotcom" disappearances of the time; and Fred was now left with a decision to make: accept a new job offer back in the city, or switch gears to something entirely new.

My Tutor and Me offers the highest quality, individualized in-home tutoring to supplement and support classroom learning. In addition to math and reading tutoring, we provide tutoring services for all subject areas for K-Graduate to Pre-Kindergarten through Graduate school, plus children with special needs.

Cathy holds Connecticut State certification in Middle School Mathematics and Secondary School Business Education having earned her Masters of Education with a 3.975 GPA at the University of Bridgeport.

Currently a teacher and tutor in middle/high school mathematics in addition to tutoring students in preparation for the math portion of the SAT, Cathy made a career transition from the business world after several years as a controller and accountant in several large firms.

Are your teachers certified? My Tutor and Me tutors are all degreed professionals, and most hold CT or NY teaching certification in their areas of expertise. All tutors are interviewed personally by MTAM owners and directors Shannon or Fred Converse. Where does tutoring take place? Most tutoring takes place at the convenience of the student's home.

Doing homework independently. Sounds like an unfamiliar concept these days, doesn't it?
