Extractions
Report
There are several reasons a tooth can need to be removed. It can have a large cavity that can't be fixed, it can be abscessed, it can be broken, there may not be enough room for it, and sometimes even baby teeth don't want to come out on their own! Most people refer to this as needing to have a tooth pulled.
Wisdom Teeth
Report
In the majority of the population, the jaw is only big enough to hold 28 teeth, not 32. This is commonly referred to as your wisdom teeth being impacted. Because of the size of our jaws, if we leave our wisdom teeth in place, we are at risk for several things. First, we are at risk for pain caused by the teeth trying to erupt into somewhere there is no space for them to come in to.
Dental Implants
Report
A dental implant is a titanium post that is placed in the jawbone to replace a natural tooth root. Dental implants are a great option for replacing a missing tooth or several missing teeth. They look and act very similar to your natural teeth. After your implant surgery, you will be able to continue to smile with confidence and eat as you normally would.
Post Op Instructions
Report
Swelling and bruising is the body's normal response to surgery and the beginning of the healing process. Swelling will vary among individuals and according to different procedures. Swelling will increase over the first 48 hours and subside over the next 5 to 7 days. Apply cold packs (15 minutes on, 15 minutes off) for first 36 hours while awake.
