Furniture manufacturers make hundreds if not thousands of the same piece and buy their lumber by the trainload.
It is impossible for any custom cabinet shop to compete with that type of volume production. On the other hand, if you have found what you were looking for but it is the wrong size, there are two options. Custom cabinetry/furniture or, in some cases, modification. There are times when a given piece of furniture can be modified to fit your needs.

Arched doors and transoms can be fun if you like bending. I will go into the joys of bending wood at another time. It is not only the transom but the glass and door stop are curved as well and all with different radii. This results in a rather expensive door no matter what it's made of. If cost is an object avoid curves if possible.
