It started more than a half century ago in 1936 when a Swiss Italian immigrant named Louis opened the original Swiss Louis Restaurant in North Beach in San Francisco on Broadway Street. Over the years, as the popularity of the restaurant grew, so did the need for larger facilities. In 1978, after 42 years on Broadway in North Beach, this popular dining establishment moved to Pier 39 near Fisherman's Wharf.

We have the capacity to seat over 300 people in our three dining areas. You can enjoy the flexibility of using the entire restaurant for a large group, or our Banquet Room for a private party or using the ala carte area.
