About Us
Report
We wouldn't be here without YOU. How lucky we are to live in a town that has long supported and celebrated a local, independent bookstore. First, Bath Bookstore, then The Mustard Seed Bookstore, and now Mockingbird Bookshop where we will continue providing the best quality and selection of books. Jeff and Terri Schurz moved to Bath, Maine, from Colorado Springs, Colorado, with their children Cade and Olivia in 2014.
What's What
Report
We will strive to curate a list of titles that local shoppers and visitors to Bath will love, but if we don't have what you're looking for we will gladly order it if we can. Come in for the newest releases for all ages. Stay for a cup of gourmet tea or locally roasted coffee and a homemade sweet treat (coming Fall 2021).

We're cooking up a fun collaboration! If your love of cooking is rivaled only by your enjoyment of reading (especially books set in Maine!), then join Now You're Cooking, Mockingbird Bookshop, and author Jenn Bouchard for an event celebrating both. Jenn's recently published book, First Course, is a story set in Maine about family and relationships, amazing food, and life's second acts.
