Guiding Hands Christian Academy

Ms. Kathy opened Guiding Hands Christian Academy in December of 2014. Kathy's dream program is a place where all children feel loved and comfortable enough for their minds to grow to its full potential. Learning takes place only when safety and securely are felt. Kathy understands that the brain must first learn how to deal with emotions as well as social situations before learning the alphabet.

As you hand your infant to our teachers, we want you to have peace of mind that they are provided for physically and emotionally while you are working. Germs and Jesus are everywhere and that is why we feel it is extremely important to clean the toys and play area daily. We also begin to teach handwashing at an early age.

Toddlers are starting to explore the world around them. We will be encouraging their independence enabling them to learn how to do things on their own, but with an adult to assist them if needed. We nurture toddler's growing language through story time, singing songs and constantly speaking to children.

At Guiding Hands Christian Academy, children are taught using the Frog Street Press Curriculum. Teacher - child interaction is the best way for children to learn through play. The children are not only taught academics but also social and emotional skills. These skills are important because it teaches children how to appropriately intact with one another.

Some children have homework after school and we want to assist with homework so that when you get home with your child, you can enjoy quality time with him/her. To best assist our working parents, Guiding Hands Christian Academy will take your school age child to the local schools as well as pick your child up from school and bring them to the facility.
