Black Goose Chimney & Duct
Black Goose Chimney and Duct was started in 1984 by Jim Suttie and Peg Apka. Originally, Black Goose only inspected and cleaned chimneys serving wood and oil appliances. Today, Black Goose is a full-service chimney company. We service all flues; wood, oil, and gas. This includes inspections, sweeping, repairing, rebuilding, and relining of these flues.

We also install stoves and fireplaces and sell a variety of chimney and fireplace accessories. Another service that we provide, is the cleaning of residential and commercial air duct systems and dryer vents. Black Goose's primary objective is to provide the most complete chimney, air duct, and dryer vent service in this area.

Repairs / Rebuilds / Installation
Report
We can repair most chimneys, no matter if weather, age, or sudden occurrence damages your chimney. We tuckpoint, rebuild, replace, and reline chimneys serving wood, gas, and oil-burning appliances. Often, doing a small repair now can help prevent more extensive and costly damage to your chimney in the years to come.
Chimney Products & Accessories
Report
Exterior water from rain, snow, and ice combining with freeze/thaw conditions causes most chimney damage to an unprotected chimney. One way to help prevent damage from exterior water is to cover your chimney. Our chimney covers are made of stainless steel or copper and come with a lifetime warranty against rusting out.
Chimney Services FAQ
Report
We recommend every 50 fires or so. It depends on the type of woodburning system, your burning habits, and the time of year you burn wood. At the minimum, every chimney should be inspected annually and cleaned/repaired, if necessary, according to the National Fire Protection Association and the Chimney Safety Institute of America.
