From Hwy 80 (San Francisco Bay Area / Sacramento): Follow the signs for I-80 East/Reno. Exit at CA-89 / CA-267 Sierraville/Lake Tahoe. Turn right onto CA-267 E and continue on to Kings Beach (you will pass the Northstar-at-Tahoe resort along the way). Turn right at Hwy 28 / North Lake Boulevard and continue on to Carnelian Bay.
