Leadership
Report
The best time to prepare the body, mind and heart for life is in childhood. What we do with those valuable years will make all the difference in the life to come. The education of our children is not just our gift to their personal advancement and success. It is our obligation to the world and to the kingdom of God.
Core Values
Report
When it comes to your child, we see the same things you see. We see a bright mind, ready to explore, with a heart open to learning spiritual truths. At Immanuel Christian School, our mission is as clear today as it was when we were founded in 1976. We believe we exist to partner with families to inspire students for purposeful lives of learning, godliness and service.
Distinctives
Report
Our teachers are qualified both by professional training and experience and also by personal spiritual maturity. ICS teachers sincerely care for their students and believe God has called them to this ministry. Many of our teachers have earned master's degrees, while others receive tuition support to further their professional development.
Heritage
Report
When we opened our doors in 1976, a gallon of gasoline averaged 61 cents and Gerald Ford was President. The world has changed a lot since then but one thing has remained the same: Immanuel Christian School values the partnership between parents and educators. The seed that was to become Immanuel Christian School was planted near the corner of Backlick and Braddock Roads in Northern Virginia in 1966.
