Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Jiu Jitsu is an art form that implements strategies and techniques. Every move needs to be recognized and counter acted, kind of like chess. Children who are learning the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu learn vital problem-solving skills. In each lesson new techniques are being taught and revised.

Not only are new moves and techniques being learned but now the kids are implementing them on each other and connecting them with their current understanding.Problems are being tackled not avoided. This is a wonderful way to help young athletes to sharpen their minds. Jiu Jitsu is a sport that is structured and wants your dedication and respect.

Joey Guel, head instructor and second degree black belt of Marcelo Alonso of Carlson Gracie, is able to teach you a unique approach to this traditional martial arts. His background in pro mma fighting will not only teach techniques of BJJ but also emphasize the possibility to apply it in a real fight scenario and how each move can be modified specific to situation, technique and person.

Using all the striking tools your body has, Muay Thai is a combat sport effectively applying your fists, elbows, knees, & shins to strike effectively in combat, competitions or self defense. Muay Thai is also known as the "Art of Eight limbs" for that reason. Thai Boxing is a great aerobic workout by pushing your cardio to the top and keeping you on your feet by moving constantly.

Our Junior Muay Thai program focuses on coordination, reflex and fundamentals. We want our juniors to be challenged and at the same time have fun while building a strong team spirit to fellow athletes and other Martial Arts. Conditioning and strength building is achieved by constant moving while focusing on foot work and learning combinations of strikes and kicks.

Because wrestling relies on leverage, strong balance, explosive power and technical knowledge to take down your opponent and stay superior, you have to use all of your main muscles, from core strength, upper body and legs. It is a total workout! Our Wrestling program is based on submission wrestling, also referred to as submission grappling, by using cliches and ground fighting techniques to submit your opponent.
