My name is Duane Brown and I'd like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about Brown's Driving School. My wife and I started this family business in 1996. After being involved in an auto accident and losing my best friend in high school, I felt the need to create a driving program that focused on education and saving lives.
Driver Education

The driver education program is Brown's oldest program originating in 1996. This program has been very successful because of the professionalism of great instructors, scheduling availability of drive times and a classroom program that is serious, yet fun. Our state-certified Driver Education program begins with 10 hours of classroom instruction at one of our 4 convenient locations.
Driver’s Test

Tests are given in a Brown's state certified car Monday through Friday, by appointment only. Currently, when students take the driving test the Dept. of Public Safety requires waiting until the next business day to go to a Tag Agency to get the new driver license.
Students wishing to take the State Road Exam at Brown's must have completed a Driver Education program at Brown's, a state certified driving school, a high school, or a state approved parent taught online driver education course.Students not meeting one of these requirements can test at Browns if 16 1/2 years old or older and if he/she has held a Learner Permit for at least 6 months.

Students who are 15 1/2 can obtain a permit once they have completed the 2 days of classroom time. Students do not have to do any drives to get a Learner's Permit. View and print the instructions here. Yes, just like piano lessons, you must take lessons and practice on your own. If you do not practice, you will not learn the skills necessary to master the tasks.

By appointment only. Brown's can only test students who have a valid Oklahoma Learner Permit and have completed an Oklahoma certified driving school, public school, or online program. Students who did not attend Brown's Driving School are considered a "Non-Brown's Student." We accept check, cash, money orders, and credit or debit cards.
