Chrissy, Instructor and Owner, is a mother of 7 children. J.R.'s passion and knowledge of horses has rubbed off on Chrissy over the course of their marriage. She has a great passion and skill for teaching and she loves seeing her students gain confidence as they grow and develop. Together they began teaching their own kids plus several neighbors how to ride a horse.
They enjoyed this so much that the dream was born to start their own horse lessons business so that they could not only spread their passion of horses with others but make it something they could build their future on. With our horse lessons, it's not only about horsemanship skills that students learn, but the more important life skills they will practice each week.

Riding Lessons
Report
Each student will work toward their specific goals, while working and riding with the horse best suited to their needs. With only 2-3 students at a time, learning is hands-on and individual to each student's pace. Includes 2 shows a year, where ribbons will be awarded, shows will take place of a regular scheduled lesson during the month (this is a great opportunity for your family and friends to come see all you have accomplished).

Two times a year, late spring and late fall, we hold horse shows for our students to showcase their skills to their family and friends. Each student chooses what routine to perform and selects a song to play during his/her performance. Horse shows are included in the price of regular fees and count as a lesson for the month.

I approached South Jordan Horse Lessons because my autistic daughter was unhappy with her life. She is 25 and living at home depressed and gloomy. She wanted to work with horses in some way and I wanted someone competent to teach her to ride yet gentle enough not to overwhelm or intimidate her.
