Our Providers

Dr. Laura Maciel Erdman was born in Mexico and grew up in northern New Jersey. She received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and earned her M.D. in 1997 from Cornell University Medical College. She completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in 2001, serving as administrative chief resident during her fourth year.

We attend deliveries only at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, the second busiest delivering hospital in Maryland. With its expertly staffed unit, 24-hour anesthesia, and outstanding NICU, we are confident that our patients are well cared for and have a comfortable and safe delivery. Our gynecology procedures are performed in the Women and Outpatient Surgical Center in Physicians Pavilion West here on campus.

Our obstetric team consists of Dr. Erdman, Dr. Morrell and Jeanette Wolff, our Certified Nurse Midwife. We encourage you to meet with each one of our physicians over the course of your prenatal experience so that you can become familiar with each member of your healthcare team. Below you can find information from your Blue Folder, which each pregnant patient receives at her first visit.
Pregnancy

Your first prenatal appointment will be at 8 weeks of pregnancy. Jeanette Wolff, our Certified Nurse Midwife, will go over your prenatal schedule and answer all of your questions. This visit also includes a comprehensive exam, lab tests and discussions on lifestyle modifications to take that will ensure the health of your baby.
