Services
Fuel Injector Service
Our fuel injector service restores engine performance using ultrasonic cleaning and flow-matching technology. Each injector undergoes resistance testing, leak-down analysis, and flow calibration to within 3% tolerance. We replace filter baskets and o-rings with premium components, ensuring optimal fuel delivery for Yamaha, Mercury, and Suzuki outboards.
Winterization
Professional winterization protects engines during off-season storage. We perform ethanol-free fuel flushing, fogging, carburetor draining, and anti-corrosive treatments while disconnecting batteries for safety. Services vary by engine size from $110 for 2-cylinder units up to $250 for high-performance V8 models.
Trailer Maintenance
Comprehensive trailer servicing includes brake adjustment, bearing replacement, lighting checks, and structural inspections. Our preventative maintenance packages range from $75 for single-axle trailers to $125 for triple-axle models, with optional stainless steel disc brake upgrades for enhanced durability.
Outboard Repair
We diagnose and repair all major outboard brands with services including carburetor rebuilding, fuel system maintenance, and ignition system troubleshooting. Our $100/hour rate covers cooling system work, valve adjustments, and complete engine tune-ups with computerized diagnostics available for modern models.
Spring Commissioning
Spring commissioning ensures boats are ready for the season with battery charging, system checks, and engine performance testing. Basic service at $150 includes fluid checks and safety equipment verification, with additional $75 charges for multi-engine setups and specialized systems.

I contacted John to do some work on my new used boat. From the moment I walked into the office, the experience was top notch. John walked me through every step and even went above and beyond to make sure I knew how everything worked and how I can maintain the boat for many years to come. I even received a follow up call from John to see how the boat was operating. If you need some work done on your boat or trailer I highly recommend Kent Island Marine.

Our experience at Kent Island Marine was excellent. We have an aging boat that required expert attention. While I live 7 hours away, I could tell through the whole process that our boat was in great hands with John. We were always updated with progress made, and informed of options. John was crystal clear and honest about what needed to be done and why. Kent Island Marine went above and beyond expectations and I would highly recommend them.

My husband & I have used Kent Island Marine for over ten years. In fact, I believe we were among their first customers. Since that time, we never have went anywhere else. They have serviced our inflatable, runabout, and cruiser. They are always thorough, responsive, and proactive in keeping our boats in top condition. We highly recommend Kent Island Marine!!

The best money I've spent on a boat. Kent Island Marine saved me thousands on what would have been a regrettable purchase. I am in the market for a used boat and having found a nice one--on the surface--I brought it to John at KI Marine to give me an unbiased assessment of the mechanical condition and running gear. I knew it ran as I sea-trialed it earlier in the day with the owner.
John called me the same day we dropped it off, gave me very specific details about the motor, shaft, steering, trailer, and found some serious items that needed immediate attention and would have cost me thousands
