Camp Deer Run is a Christian Youth Camp located in East Texas. We are devoted to providing young people where they can simply experience God while having the most fun of their life. Established in 1958 CDR's founders desired that the camp be a refuge from the world for young people. The intention was to provide a place where children could enjoy the outdoors in a safe and Christ-like environment.
Though having grown many times its original size, CDR has remained true to its founder's intent. Today Camp Deer Run provides refuge from the world for over 1200 campers each summer. Through a fun and Christ-centered camping experience led by college students our campers are growing in their love for God, learning about Him and having so much fun.

Camperships

Camp Deer Run plays a vital role in the spiritual growth of our campers. It is our hope that we will be able to offer the Deer Run experience to as many kids as possible, never turning anyone away for financial reasons. We have established this campership program as a way to ensure that any family who wants to send their child to camp will be able to, regardless of their financial situation.
PeeWees

It is easy to find our PeeWees during the summer, you hear them chanting their song as they move through activities. Swimming, crafts and Bible lessons are all a part of the fun. PeeWee camp is a great opportunity for Camp Deer Run to partner with you to help your children establish a foundation in Christ.

Camp Deer Run is located in the piney forests of East Texas. This isolated and beautiful environment is ideal for our Summer Camp Program and for your retreats! Campers can receive emails at afternoon Canteen. Emails will be printed out each day at 11:00 a.m. Any emails received after 11:00 a.m. will be printed the following day. Mail won't be delivered during outcamping (the first Thursday and Friday of two week sessions). Campers do not have access to a computer to reply to your messages.
