With 37 years of diving experience and 20 years as an assistant instructor, Steve conducts open water classes and leadership programs. He prioritizes water safety as a former American Red Cross Instructor Trainer in Aquatics and CPR.
Terry Orr
Service Technician & Partner
Terry has been diving since 2013 and became SEI-certified in 2015. He specializes in equipment repairs and has been a shop partner since 2019, combining technical expertise with hands-on diving experience.

What scuba certification options do you offer?
We provide SEI and NAUI certifications. NAUI certification requires additional coursework and fees beyond the standard SEI program.

Are there age requirements for scuba classes?

I just realized that I haven't left a review yet. I first did business with STC about 4 years ago. Steve outfitted me for my first snorkeling adventure in Oahu. Time was taken to get gear that fit me perfectly that I still use today. My first snorkeling excursion lead to my obsession with the under water world and wanted to dig deeper. Last year, almost exactly, I started SCUBA training with STC dive center. It is some of the most fun I have ever had! Steve has soo much knowledge and experience to share. Great local dive shop and resource for the diving community. Offers a good variety of equipment at different price points, ranging from basic items for beginners to high end gear for experienced divers. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and went out of their way to help us get diving gear that fits well and has the features we want.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, personalised service. We were able to try a lot of different snorkel masks and they had a great range of colors to choose from. We learned about the different types of snorkels they sell and we were able to get one that suited our needs and experience level. I'd recommend this place to anyone

I took my classes 2 years ago with Steve, and feel I was given the information and support needed to dive confidently. After doing my open water dives while on vacation, and now being certified Im looking forward to going with the shop on the Belize trip in June!
