The Highline Bears baseball organization is a summer collegiate team in the Pacific International League. In the 1950's, 60's and 70's White Center Stadium was the home of men's semi-professional baseball and professional fast pitch softball teams. Several hundred adults, kids and families would fill the stands and sit along the side fences watching a high level of baseball under the lights on Friday and Saturday nights.
Our goal is to bring back a high level of baseball to Steve Cox Memorial Park in a way that it hasn't seen in 30 years. The Highline Bears are a community oriented team, working with non-profit groups like the White Center Food Bank, South West Little League, Kiwanis Club, the team helps raise funds through partnership ticket sales and a 50/50 raffle every game.

Pil
Report
Founded in 1992, the Pacific International League (PIL) is a Semi-Professional and Summer Collegiate Baseball League in the Pacific Northwest. Sanctioned by the National Baseball Congress (NBC), most PIL players are NCAA eligible and are unpaid in order to maintain their eligibility.
The PIL is different from many other summer collegiate baseball leagues in that the league also allows former professionals and college graduates to participate which makes it a semi-professional league. The league was formed by a core group of franchises from the previous Northwest Amateur Western International League.

Be A Host Family
Report
The Highline Bears have players that come from all over the country and even from as far away as Australia. A commonly asked question is; "Where are these players going to live during the season?" The answer is with host families.
Host families have the opportunity to "adopt" a player during the summer months of June and July, establishing lifelong friendships, and in many cases, the chance to follow "your adopted player" throughout their baseball career.

Buntly the Bear
Report
Buntly is our beloved mascot of the Highline Bear. Buntly loves to meet new people at the ballpark, eat yummy snacks from the concession stand, make fun of umpires, and run across the field with all of his new friends after a game. Buntly loves all foods! He enjoys everything found in the concession stand at Mel Olson Stadium, but Recess Pices is his favorite treat.
