The Green Turtle Inn has been an Islamorada landmark since 1947. They were involved and available every step of the way, helped with the cost of everything, and worked with us on last minute changes.

In 1935 the Rustic Inn offered passersby and locals green turtle steaks, gasoline and, during the Prohibition years, libations. Built by Berlin Felton, O.D. King was operating the Inn when it was destroyed in the 1935 Labor Day Hurricane. During the Category 5 hurricane that took nearly 500 lives, Edney and Edna Parker sought shelter at the Inn.
