SPE Dive School

We are a dive school - not a retail dive shop. This means our passion is education, with the best SCUBA dive lessons and certification in the area. We have been training divers for more than 40 years in our central location to Washington, DC, suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia. To ensure our divers are using the safest, most reliable gear, we make a large selection of equipment available only to students at discount prices.

SPE Dive School classes are held in our training facility in Friendship Heights, designed exclusively for SCUBA education. The classroom is located at the Elizabeth building arcade, 4601 North Park Avenue, Suite 13-C in Chevy Chase, Maryland. In addition to our $395 course certificates, our GIFT CERTIFICATES are available at any denomination.

We teach frequent open water SCUBA certification courses for beginners as well as advanced SCUBA certifications and specialties. Our classes are available on weekends or weeknights to fit your busy schedule. We also offer a class for people who just aren't sure if SCUBA is right for them. Our Discover SCUBA class is a great way to 'test the waters' before fully committing to SCUBA.

Certification classroom training is fun and interactive, with videos, slides and real diving experiences shared by staff instructors. Our courses give you additional information not found in typical textbooks and videos. We consistently exceed industry standards to ensure our students have the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to be excellent, safe divers.
