At Center for the Performing Arts, our mission is to provide the highest quality dance instruction for all ages with qualified, experienced teachers in a warm, non-competitive environment. Our studio features four classrooms with professional sprung dance floors and viewing windows for parents. We offer age- and grade-based class placements, allowing students to train with peers while giving parents flexibility in scheduling. Whether nurturing toddlers' first steps in dance, preparing high school students for college intensives, or welcoming adults seeking recreation, we tailor programs to meet diverse needs.As an official chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, we recognize artistic excellence and academic achievement in dance education. Our Acrobatic Arts Certified Studio ensures specialized training in acro dance techniques. With CPR/First Aid-certified faculty and CORI-checked staff, we prioritize safety and professionalism. Dance Classes
Offering ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip hop classes for ages 2+. Certified instructors provide technical training in four studios with sprung floors. Classes are organized by age and skill level to ensure appropriate peer interaction and progression.
Acro Classes

Performance Team

Owner & Founder
Jane O'Donnell founded Center for the Performing Arts to create a nurturing dance environment. With decades of experience, she oversees curriculum development and studio operations while maintaining teaching involvement.
Meghan O'Donnell
Studio Director
Meghan O'Donnell directs daily operations and teaches advanced dance classes. As NHSDA chapter sponsor, she mentors students toward academic and artistic excellence while managing faculty training and program development.

What dance styles do you offer?
We offer ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, and acro dance classes for ages 2+ with age-appropriate curriculum.
Are your instructors certified?
All faculty members hold CPR/First Aid certification and CORI background checks. Many instructors have professional dance performance and teaching experience.
Do you have performance opportunities?
Yes! We offer performance teams, recitals, and summer showcases. Our Shining Stars Performance Team competes regionally and participates in community events.
How are classes structured?
Classes are organized by age (starting at 2 years old) and skill level. Students train with peers in their grade, with flexible scheduling options for multiple weekly classes.

Wonderful Summer Stars program. Second year attending and my daughter loves it everyday she goes. The fact that it is all inclusive makes it a great bargain!

I wish I could give this place more stars. My daughter started dance at the Y when she was in preschool. By 2nd grade she needed a different studio for several reasons. Checked out a few in town but I liked the non competitive atmosphere here. Jane (the owner) is the most personable manager you'd ever want to meet. The motto is that everyone is a star (and at the end of the year everyone gets a medal). Some kids do get trophies but not for competition reasons. They have programs for all level kids and everyone regardless of age, ambition, ability or socioeconomic level is treated equally
