Summary: The Center is currently accepting applications and may be printed from the Application Process link. This small, mostly unnoticed event capped a concentrated effort that he had conceived and nurtured since the early 1980's.
Prior to that simple beginning, Bob Asker donated an untallied amount of time, talent, and financial support to bring life to his dream of helping children in our area receive the treatment they needed for a healthy, happy, and productive life.Without the ability to communicate freely and openly, hurdles are placed before children that often cannot be overcome throughout a lifetime of effort.

Who We Are
Report
The Robert E. Asker Scottish Rite Speech Therapy Center for Children is a Scottish Rite of Freemasonry charity. Our mission is to help children communicate. The Center is one of more than 178 Scottish Rite speech and language centers throughout the United States. Services are provided free of charge in the Bismarck center.
What We Do
Report
Free speech therapy is available to any child two to seven years of age without regard to race, color, creed, or gender if they are unable to pay for or receive adequate therapy elsewhere. A child's parent or legal guardian applies for services. With board of directors' approval, children undergo a speech-language evaluation and a treatment plan is set in place, if necessary.
