Tamaz Shiloshvili

Studio Owner and Teacher

With over 25 years teaching experience, Tamaz is a National Champion in Latin and Ballroom dancing. He began dancing at age 8 in Georgia and co-founded ILTA Dance in 2006 after teaching at Fred Astaire Studios.

Ilana Meshkausk

Studio Owner and Teacher

National Champion dancer who started at age 6 in Lithuania. Joined forces with Tamaz at 16, achieving championship titles before co-founding ILTA Dance in 2006. Brings extensive competitive and teaching experience to her instruction.

What dance styles do you teach?

We teach all major ballroom and Latin styles including Salsa, Bachata, Swing, Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, and Samba.

Are there classes for complete beginners?

Yes! Our beginner group classes start monthly with no prior experience required. New groups form regularly in Salsa, Bachata, and Swing.

Iltas group and private dance lessons are great. My instructor Tamaz is a gifted ballroom teacher. He knows every technique to turn his students into accomplished dancers. He has an easy and very clear way of teaching the most complicated dance steps. If I think that a dance step is not within my reach, then with limitless patience and persistent guidance he makes it happen every single time. There is an enormous satisfaction in achieving the unimaginable and for that I am very grateful.

I've been a student at this wonderful place for over 12 years. This studio and the teachers changed my life. It's not just the professionalism and patience that these teachers have for all of their students, but their love and want for their students to succeed, is what still amazes me. My now 9 yr old son will be entering his third year at Iltas studio. We love the studio. Professional, caring and passionate about students and dancing, competitive if thats of interest. Has a nice community of parents that love all things ballroom. It provides my son with skill, good posture, rythmic movements, teaches importance of how one presents themselves.
