Founded in 1954, Ridgefield Little League is Ridgefield's oldest youth sports organization. RLL has grown tremendously over the last 60+ years, starting with 6 teams to now serving over 500 boys and girls on over 80 teams from T-ball to Majors and the Holland Division. Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, RLL's mission has been to assist youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being.
The Little League program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than stellar athletes. This mission is instilled under the leadership of over 300 volunteers who help administer the program annually; from the Board of Directors and coaches to those who run the annual pancake breakfast. The league is 100% self-sufficient and has not conducted additional fundraisers to cover operating expenses.
