Nashville Ballet
The strength of the company is illustrated in the longevity of the organization and individual dancer careers. That longevity can be attributed to the experiences dancers have within the company and the city, in general. Nicknamed "Music City, " Nashville offers southern hospitality and metropolitan culture in a navigable mid-sized city.

As its nickname suggests, Nashville embraces every genre of music. But that artistic appreciation extends beyond music into every form of art. Nashville offers its residents fine art, music and performance art of all kinds. Also called the "Athens of the South" for its diverse cultural and educational opportunities, Nashville provides affordable housing and employment opportunities for its 600,000 residents.

Advancing Racial Equity
Report
The senseless murder of George Floyd highlights the systemic racism and continued disrespect for black lives that permeates our society. The ballet world is not immune to this racism and prejudice, and silence on this issue will no longer be tolerated. Our world must change.

We must take conscious, actionable steps to better ourselves and those around us until we have uprooted and dismantled the culture of bigotry and disregard of black people and all marginalized groups. At Nashville Ballet, we must begin with furthering our dedication to recognizing, addressing, and abolishing the racial inequalities that have plagued the dance world and remain within this industry.
