Most of our herbs, spices, and teas are sealed in a clear FDA-approved non-gas-permeable 3 mm poly structure bag (of various dimensions) to preserve freshness, aroma, and potency. The bag has excellent barrier properties and is ideal for storing herbs and teas. It is not re-sealable. This bag is used to pack most all of our herbs and spices that are not powders.

The dog rose is a climbing variety of wild rose found throughout Eurasia and western Africa. Like its botanical cousins, the plant bursts into bloom in summer. In contrast, however, the delicate white, pink or red blossoms are void of any detectable scent. Damiana is a small, aromatic shrub native to Central America, South America, Mexico, the Caribbean and the southwestern U.S. For centuries, native peoples have enjoyed the leaf prepared as a sweetened tea. Damiana is also a traditional ingredient in Mexican liquors. In fact, the herb was reputedly used as the key flavoring agent in the liquor used to make the original margarita.

I have used this company for several years. I like to buy the mulling spices during the winter holidays and use this to scent my home. I also like to buy the cold and flu tea to use during the winter months as well. I have upper respiratory issues during the winter months. I recently started to purchase the scented oils and will continue to purchase other items from this company. The only issue I had with purchasing this last time, was the website itself. I hand-blend a lot of loose leaf tea for my friends, mixing plain base teas with ingredients that they ask for (flower petals, fruits, etc), and get all of my base loose teas from MBHC. Their service is fast, their products are high-quality, and they always arrive fresh and full of flavor. I also buy my personal loose leaf teas from them (Irish Breakfast and Ginger Peach are favorites), and make sure that I always have at least half a pound of them on hand at any time. Excellent tea!
