After years of teaching his loved ones how to surf, our owner realized his true calling was to educate others on this vital facet of Hawaiian culture.
Backed by over 30 years of experience, we strive to stay true to his mission and provide a safe, comfortable learning environment. We go the extra mile to ensure your comfort. During your lesson, we provide water, snacks, and pictures. In order to maintain safety during our lessons, we keep a low instructor to student ratio, with one instructor per every four students.

That's why we take the headache out of your transportation plans and offer free rides to our students and guests. When you book a surfing lesson with us, we'll get you down to the waves easy and fast so you can spend more time surfing and riding the waves and less time dealing with the hassle of driving and parking.

My buddy and I signed up for a surfing lesson on short notice and chose to go with Polu Lani because of the excellent reviews. It definitely lived up to the hype. Rick is an excellent teacher; patient, attentive and very personable. It's easy to tell that he loves what he does. He adapts his lessons to the experience/skill level of his students, and made us feel like rock stars in our own minds by the end of the lesson.
