Melody & Motion School of Performing Arts was founded as the Newcomerstown Dance Center in 2002 to bring high quality dance education to the area. As the school has grown through the years it has given hundreds of children the opportunity to learn, appreciate, and perform a variety of dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, and tumbling.
In the summer of 2009 the school was moved to its existing location that allowed for many new programs including Kindermusik, Cheer, Hip Hop, and Music Lessons. To better reflect the wider variety of programs that we now offer the name was changed. We are pleased to be the only school in the area offering such a variety of programs for students of all ages from birth to adult.

Ballet
Report
Ballet truly is the foundation for all other types of dance. Students who are 1st grade up through High School may choose to take ballet either once or twice a week Classes are an hour or an hour and a half, depending on level. Classes run from September to May and end with our spring recital. Girls - Solid color leotard, tights, pink ballet shoes, and hair in a bun (skirt is optional).
Private Tumbling

Private Tumbling Training is perfect for students who are interested in personal advancement over and above what they are doing in their regular tumbling class or for girls who may be preparing for cheerleading tryouts. Our experienced tumbling teachers will make an individual plan and set goals according to each student's level and ability.
