Detroit is a city full of character. From the toughness of the Motor City's auto industry to the artful soul of Motown Records, Detroit has unprecedented depth. It's a city that has endured much turmoil yet tells a story of authenticity, grit, and resilience. Our city inspires us. As healthcare has grown increasingly bureaucratic, we sought a return to authentic medicine in a practice focused solely on our patients.
We love what we do and we love that we are free to do what is best for each individual patient. An injury can be devastating. But, like our city, you are resilient and you were designed for redemption. The official Detroit city motto reads: Speramus Meliora; Resurget Cineribus, which is Latin for "We hope for better things; it shall rise from the ashes."

Services
Sports Medicine
Report
At Motor City Orthopedics, we treat patients of every age - we see athletes from all four major professional sports, collegiate, high school, middle school levels, and recreational athletes. We also treat non-athletes who are looking for rapid recovery of lifestyle and function and who may be candidates for minimally invasive approaches.
Expectations
Report
Due to the nature of orthopedic injuries, some days we may be asked to see urgent injuries that require time-sensitive treatment. This can cause some unpredictability in the office schedule. Motor City Orthopedics is also a regional center for referrals and we often see complex patients who have had multiple treatments elsewhere and this can require additional time for assessment.
Concierge
Report
Professional athlete-Please email us at concierge@motorcityorthopedics.com so we can arrange a visit with the utmost discretion. If this is a second opinion, our professional liaison will facilitate obtaining records and imaging studies from you or your representative. Virtual/online consultations can also be arranged at your convenience for those unable to travel to Metro Detroit for your visit.
Shoulder
Report
The ball and socket joint of the shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body and is much more reliant on its soft tissue components such as the rotator cuff and labrum for proper function. The rotator cuff is an intricate group of four small tendons that regulate movement of the shoulder. The purpose of these four tendons are to maintain the position of the humeral head (ball) on the glenoid (socket) of the shoulder during movement.
Knee
Report
The knee is the most commonly injured joint in athletes. Its unique hinge configuration coupled with its function in linking the explosive hamstring and quadriceps muscles to the leg can result in significant damage and impairment of athletic performance when injured as well as later development of arthritis due to the stress it bears.
