Exceptional Dance Instruction for All Ages in Northern Virginia
Lasley Centre for the Performing Arts was founded in June 2011 at Vint Hill with a mission to provide excellence in dance training for students in Fauquier County and surrounding areas. Over the years, our school has experienced exponential growth, leading to our relocation to a 9,000-square-foot custom-designed facility that meets the highest standards for dance education. Our students consistently earn placements in prestigious summer intensives with renowned ballet companies such as American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet, and have performed at iconic venues like the Kennedy Center alongside major companies including the Joffrey Ballet and New York City Ballet. We take pride in offering developmentally appropriate instruction for young dancers, taught by certified instructors who prioritize both technical excellence and physical safety. Our faculty comprises professionals with extensive training, technical expertise, and performance experience, ensuring students receive comprehensive preparation for careers in the arts while also gaining personal enrichment. We emphasize character development, personal responsibility, etiquette, and positive body image, creating a nurturing environment where students grow artistically and personally. Our school fosters a collaborative community involving students, parents, instructors, and volunteers, and we are proud to be founding members of the Centre Company and Piedmont Conservatory for the Arts. Through annual performances like our Nutcracker and Spring Recital, we provide students with valuable stage experience and opportunities to engage with the broader community.
