In 1985, Fins, Feathers, Paws & Claws, Inc. opened the doors of a 1,200 square foot store. We had freshwater fish, birds & mammals with supplies for all pets. We grew fast due to our unique approach to quality & service. We concentrate on providing customers with an educated staff helping our customers make informed decisions on their new pets.

Tom Herron is the founder and chief operator of Fins, Feathers, Paws & Claws Inc. Tom's experience spans decades of animal care. His beginnings are rooted in a solid understanding and love for all animals. As far back as he can remember, Tom has always had fish. He can recall having up to 21 tanks at a time as a young boy.
About The Tortoises

You may have been wondering who or what are those big shelled creatures that you see patrolling our store aisles. They are African Spurred Tortoises, also known as the Sulcata Tortoise or Geochelone Sulcata. The African Spurred is the third largest tortoise in the world, with only the giant Galapagos and Aldabra Tortoises being larger.

Our freshwater aquatics department is stocked with a wide array of fish, supplies, equipment, food and more. We strive to keep a wide selection of common and unusual fresh water tropical fish, with a knowledgeable staff to help you make the right choices for your tank. Our peaceful community fish include many Tetras, Rasboras, Guppies, Platies, Swordtails, Plecos of many species, Cory Cats, Gouramis, Rainbowfish, several barbs and more.
