Community College Enrollment
Mountain Empire Community College is a comprehensive two-year college serving residents of Lee, Scott, Wise, and Dickenson Counties, and the City of Norton. MECC is one of twenty-three colleges in the Virginia Community College System and operates under policies established by the State Board for Community Colleges and the Local Advisory Board.

The College is financed primarily with state funds, supplemented by contributions from the local jurisdictions. MECC campus offices are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Offices may experience schedule changes during peak periods and summer.

Health Sciences and Workforce Solutions

The Health Sciences Division mission is to provide access to quality higher education and workforce programs that provide our students with the knowledge, skills and behavior needed to achieve their academic, professional, and personal success. The Health Science Division is located on the first floor Phillips-Taylor Hall in Suite 148.
Information Technology
Report
The Center for Computing and Information Technology will provide the highest quality technology-based services to facilitate the College mission as it applies to quality higher education, workforce training, and community service. The Center for Computing and Information Technology is located on the second floor of Phillips-Taylor Hall in suite 217.
Student Services
Report
Student Services is located in Holton Hall in Suite 128. MECC's ETS program serves students in grades 8th - 12th in the following schools: Central High, Eastside High, JI Burton High, Lee High, Thomas Walker High, Twin Springs High, and Union High. MECC's Educational Talent Search provide information on college admissions, financial aid, financial literacy, support for SAT and ACT exams, tutoring, mentoring, and college prep services.

MECC Human Resources department will effectively and efficiently administer all aspects of human resources including employment, compensation, payroll, benefits, and organizational development, while maintaining positive employee relations and providing exceptional customer service to employees at all levels.
