Tatum Asphalt is locally owned by Billy Tatum and family operated. Our company has been serving the Central Coast of CA since 2012. With over 15 years of experience behind his belt and knowledge gained from working for another local grading and paving outfit Billy decided to make the leap to start out on his own.
Billy obtained his contractors license in 2011. We took a year to research and prepare to open our doors. Tatum Asphalt was established in January of 2012 as a husband and wife operation. Hired 3 employees and got busy working, over the next few weeks we grew into a full time operation with 11 employees.

Tatum Asphalt has been serving the paving needs of the Central Coast of CA since 2012. While we are a "young" company we have over 50 years combined paving experience behind us. Our goal is to continuously deliver a quality professional service at a competitive price. We recognize that each job site is unique and requires extra effort to complete it the right way.

What are the advantages of asphalt over concrete? Asphalt is most times more cost effective than concrete to install, and less expensive to repair. It usually does not need to be removed, it can easily be resurfaced. Asphalt is designed to flex with hot and cold weather as well as slight settlements.
