Ridin' High
We're passionate about helping people reach their goals, especially challenged individuals! To do so, we've assembled a qualified team of experienced staff members, helpful volunteers, and trained therapy horses. While our core mission is to serve those with physical, cognitive, emotional, or social challenges, we also offer lessons to typical (able-bodied) riders.

We offer goal-oriented therapeutic riding lessons for persons with physical, emotional, cognitive, or social challenges. Lessons are taught by qualified instructors, including those holding PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) certification. We serve riders ages 4-100 who have challenges such as Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Cerebral Palsy, TBI, Stroke, Dementia, Learning Disabilities, ACE, and PTSD.

About Us
Report
We're passionate about helping people reach their goals, especially challenged individuals! To do so, we've assembled a qualified team of experienced staff members, helpful volunteers, and trained therapy horses.

Our Mission Statement says it all: "The purpose of Ridin' High, Inc. Therapeutic Riding Program is to promote the well-being, functional abilities, and personal development of persons with physical, emotional, or cognitive challenges through participation in Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies, subject to the consent of the participant's medical advisors or other appropriate professional counsel."
Programs
Report
We offer goal-oriented adaptive riding lessons for persons with physical, emotional, cognitive, or social challenges. Lessons are taught by qualified instructors, including those holding PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) certification. The real cost is $100/session BUT most of this is underwritten by generous donors and fundraising activities--which leaves a cost of only $25/session.
Rider Forms
Report
While it is unusual, once in a while we can no longer serve an individual. We want to be completely upfront about that. Ridin' High, Inc. reserves the right to dismiss participants from any program for any reason. These reasons may include but are not limited to safety concerns and/or the inability to appropriately and safety provide equine assisted actives or therapies.
Therapy Horses
Report
Ridin' High activities and therapies are centered around interaction with our therapy horses. Therapy horses have to be sound, tolerant, people-oriented, healthy, and quiet. The requirements are stringent and only about 1 in 10 horses qualifies for this important job! All of the horses at Ridin' High have been through extensive testing and training to ensure that they will be a great fit for our riders.
How to Help
Report
Volunteers comprise the heart and soul of Ridin' High. We rely on the time, efforts, and talents of a great team of volunteers (ages 14-80) who willingly help us on a regular basis. We match up the volunteer with the activities they are most interested in-and perhaps those that can utilize their special skills as well.
