At this time, California Wildlife Center is still accepting patients. We ask that anyone who finds wildlife requiring medical care call our hotline (310-458-9453) before driving to the Center out of consideration for our limited staff. Thank you for your understanding. We are always looking for volunteers over the age of 18 to join our corps of over 200 who do everything from animal diets to animal care to rescuing marine mammals.
Our volunteers make our work possible. Your donation makes a difference. CWC does not receive any regular funding from federal, state or local governments and we rely on the public to keep our doors open to the animals who need help. Join a select group of supporters dedicated to California Wildlife Center's mission and receive exclusive benefits include sneak peeks into CWC's inner workings.

Services
What We Do
Report
California Wildlife Center takes responsibility for the protection of native wildlife through rehabilitation, education, and conservation. It is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of native California species, who otherwise would be left to suffer from the effects of human encroachment, habitat destruction and environmental damage.
Donate
Report
Your generosity allows us to continue our mission to take responsibility for the protection of all native wildlife! As a 501(c)3 non-profit that does not receive any regular or sustaining federal, state, or municipal funds, contributions from supporters like you allow California Wildlife Center to care over 4,300 wild animal patients every year.
Achievements
Report
CWC now features one of the most advanced and comprehensive wildlife rehabilitation facilities in Southern California and is partnered with eight infant mammal rehabilitators in our Home Care network. CWC is the only facility in Los Angeles County permitted to care for deer fawn and rehabilitate coyote pups as well as baby songbirds.
Educational Outreach
Report
CWC staff and volunteers can create an educational outreach program to meet your group's needs. Some popular topics are Orphan Care, Marine Mammals, Backyard Wildlife, and Helping Wildlife in Need. We are also available to speak to your group about how to coexist with wildlife in an urban/suburban environment, or present about California Wildlife Center and the work that is done here.
Medical Emergency
Report
If you have found a wild animal that appears to be sick, injured, abandoned or in danger, please call our emergency hotline number. Call South Bay Wildlife Rehab at (310) 365-5656 for rehabilitation or your local animal control agency in cases of emergency. Seal the box. Place the box in a quiet, dark location (for example, a bathroom) until you reach CWC staff.
