Services
Spinal Stenosis
Spinal stenosis involves narrowing of spinal openings that compress nerves and the spinal cord. This condition often develops from age-related degeneration, arthritis, or disc herniations. Atlas Spine offers both conservative treatments like spinal injections and surgical solutions such as laminectomies to relieve nerve pressure and restore mobility.
Herniated Disc
Herniated discs occur when spinal disc material leaks out and presses on nerves. Atlas Spine provides comprehensive care ranging from anti-inflammatory medications and physical therapy to surgical interventions like discectomies. The practice emphasizes accurate diagnosis through MRI imaging and personalized treatment plans to alleviate nerve pain and restore function.
Kyphoplasty
Kyphoplasty treats vertebral compression fractures caused by osteoporosis. Atlas Spine performs this minimally invasive procedure to stabilize fractured vertebrae using bone cement. The treatment restores vertebral height, reduces pain, and prevents nerve compression while promoting rapid recovery for improved spinal stability.
Lumbar Spine Surgery
Lumbar spine surgery addresses conditions like disc herniations and spinal stenosis that cause chronic back pain. Atlas Spine offers procedures including discectomies, laminectomies, and spinal fusions using advanced surgical techniques. These interventions aim to relieve nerve pressure, stabilize the spine, and restore patients' ability to perform daily activities pain-free.
Cervical Spine Surgery
Cervical spine surgery treats severe neck pain and nerve compression from conditions like spinal stenosis and disc herniations. Atlas Spine performs procedures including anterior cervical discectomy and fusion to stabilize the cervical spine. The practice focuses on preserving mobility while alleviating symptoms like arm numbness and weakness through targeted surgical interventions.

**updating my review as next month will be 3 years since Dr atlas performed my ACDF surgery at Virtua at mt holly hospital. I feel like I did prior to my neck surgery (great!) and have had no residual symptoms what so ever. Dr Atlas, thank you so much for your skilled hands, your clear instructions post op and your caring staff and colleagues. I am still forever grateful that you gave me my life back!! I am currently 5 days post op and the difference is amazing so far. He is extremely professional and skilled. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you Dr Atlas for helping me when I felt like there

Dr. Atlas was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to treat me and helped my back pain. I had a micro discectomy surgery. I wasted weeks going to get injections and pain management. He healed me and I was back to work with 6 weeks. I highly recommend him.

Great doctor and staff. I was having excruciating pain down my leg 4 weeks ago that started suddenly after picking up my toddler. I was given Dr Atlas name by a friend, researched him, and asked a physician who he thought was the best Dr to see. He also told me to see Dr Atlas. I called Dr Atlas office and was given an emergency appointment. I saw his PA and Dr Atlas who gave me steroids and physical therapy. After 5 days on steroids I was getting worse , called the office, saw Dr Atlas, who ordered a stat MRI. I was seen the following Monday with results of a large herniated disk and scheduled

I first met with Dr. Atlas at the height of the coronavirus pandemic. I was received and operated on relatively quickly given that circumstance. The operation was a surprising success, due to the glum nature of my injury
and the lack of medical options my insurance provided. Several weeks later, I became capable of walking, standing, sitting, and performing the sort of activities my lifestyle requires. This surgery eventually lent me a second chance at living a normal life. Thank you,

I am a disabled vet who has seen the "best" surgeons on a referral basis and have had multiple multi-level fusions. ... and a seperate laminectomy discectomy prior to my first fusion. Without question Dr Atlas was the best surgeon to work on me. He not only completed the fusion I went to him for, but also cleaned up the weak work done by a prior surgeon (an MD/PhD full professor at a MAJOR medical school). All this at a local Burlington county hospital.. not in NYC or Philly. I have had 4 surgeons work on my neck and back plus 3 minor surgeries and Atlas was clearly the smartest and most honest
