Flying Sound is a recording studio and production company in the Arts District of Portland, Maine. We are music and audio professionals with a hand in Academy Award nominated and critically acclaimed projects the post production and voiceover worlds. Our goal is to create a productive and creative atmosphere and then capture the result with the highest fidelity possible.

This studio is designed for very well-prepared creatives. If you can follow your plan, have practiced a lot and/or have a really solid script and clear goals of what you want then you will wind up paying little. A facility like ours can get a lot of high-end work done in a short amount of time if your preproduction is good.

Flying Sound's focus is high-end audio for established and aspiring artists. This means we strive to use the very best techniques and analog gear. It is a hybrid studio where much of the processing happens during tracking (in parallel if you want to take your tracks to work with another mixing engineer).
ADR Stage

We have done many productions. Some are listed here. We are experienced in locking to picture, ADR workflows, interacting with high-profile clients and creating excellent-quality audio. For remote connectivity we have Source Connect Pro 3.9, ISDN, Computer connections like Skype, a hybrid phone line, and FaceTime audio/video.
Soundstage

The A Room located in downtown Portland, Maine there has often been used as a soundstage for film, tv, and video productions. It is ideally suited where the intention is to capture stunning audio along with the picture. We work on big-budget Hollywood productions (including one that was nominated for an Academy Award for sound mixing), TV, YouTube videos, commercials, industrials, you name it!
