All of the pottery produced here at Gull Rock is oven and dishwasher safe, wheel-thrown or slab-constructed stoneware. Our predominant theme is blue and white brush designs, but we also use rust-brown and celedon glazes. In addition to our standard functional line up of stoneware we create individualized dinnerware place settings, one of a kind or limited editions, unique and custom ordered pieces.

Gull Rock Pottery is the creation of Torj and Kurt Wray, resident potters of Hancock, Maine. In their earlier lives Kurt was a PhD. research chemist in the Boston area and Torj was a housewife / mother of 3 / studio potter with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred, NY.
