Breast Center
Report
Mammograms are the imaging tests used to examine breast tissue. They are also one of the best means we have of detecting the early signs of breast cancer. In this low-dose x-ray test, the breast is squeezed from the bottom and top by two metal plates. Images are captured and sent to a computer, which converts the images into several layers that a radiologist can examine one at a time.
