Family Care (FC) is a non-skilled, non-technical attendant care service. This type of care is available to eligible adults who are functionally limited in performing activities of daily living. Formally known as CBA program provides home and community-based services to aged and disabled adults as cost-effective alternatives to institutional care in nursing homes.
The program provides assistance with personal care tasks under long term services. This program assists children with special needs and provides caregiver relief for parents and their families. Report
We will send out our Client Advocate to gather information, to also interview the client. We would prefer that family members be present in this interview. We can accommodate nights and weekends for these interviews due to many family members working during the week. The process takes a minimum of 1-2 months depending on whether the client is already active in the Adult Medicaid Program with the State of Texas known as MEPD.
